
The X-Cite® Tetrem is a high-power, four-wavelength LED illumination system designed to provide researchers with a superior alternative to traditional mercury lamps. Engineered for high-speed, multi-color fluorescence microscopy, it delivers exceptional power and stability across the visible spectrum. The system features a Long Lifetime Reliability of 25,000 hours, eliminating the maintenance burdens of bulb replacements and re-alignments.
The Tetrem offers Four-Channel LED Excitation with precisely optimized peaks for the most common fluorophores: DAPI (385 nm), GFP/FITC (470 nm), RFP/mCherry (560 nm) and Cy5 (640 nm). This design ensures bright, uniform illumination and outstanding signal-to-noise ratios. For automated workflows, it provides Seamless Integration via USB for PC Control and External TTL trigger integration for millisecond-speed synchronization. For real-time manual operation, a dedicated Control Pod is included to manage wavelength selection and intensity (0%–100% in 1% steps).
